Lampworking Glass - Demonstration


Lampworking is a style of glasswork that uses a gas torch to melt rods and tubes of clear and multicoloured glass, together.

Once the glass has melted, the shape is then formed by blowing and shaping it with a variety of tools and hand movements.

It is also identified as flame working or torch working, as the current process no longer uses oil-fueled lamps.

Glass Lampworking is an ancient form of moulding glass, & has been practiced since the 14th century.
